Charming Stay with Great River Views
The bar's drink selection impressed me! Enjoyed a tasty breakfast spread, catering to all preferences. Be sure to take a stroll for fine river views. A small supermarket across the street is perfect for snacks!

Lovely and stunning traditional hotel location close enough to the riverbank and Chau doc riverfront park, temple and Chau doc central market. Luxury bathroom in the nicely decorated and budget room. Kindness from the whole staff;)))

The staff were helpful, especially when I had an issue with my passport. They were calm and supportive throughout, made a stressful situation manageable. The view from my room was nice. Eating at the restaurant was enjoyable, especially the vegetarian food. I would definitely come back again.

The hotel is located right at the river junction and if you come by boat e.g. from Phnom Penh, it directly drops you off there. The view from the riverside rooms and the terrace is nice on the floating homes and boats driving by.
The Victoria is Chau Doc's only mid range sleeping possibility (that we found), which explains the the price compared to the otherwise not that high standard that you find at other places for a lot less. The hotel has the charme of an imperial time that has gone by and feels a little smelly and stiff. The restaurant is quoted in Lonely Planet as one of the best in town but to our experience it was less than mediocre neither mastering in its Asian nor western food. It all tasted bland to say the best. Also stay away from their cocktails. My girlfriend and I spend two days in the bathroom after a Caipirinha and are still recovering.

From being greeted my head management upon arrival to a personal greeting from the manager ,i cannot fault my stay at this hotel. We were given an upgraded room, which was delightful...and upon our next visit from the manager at breakfast to make sure we were enjoying our stay..i thanked him for our upgrade as it was my 50th birthday.......to my suprise the hotel followed up with a present and card......how nice is that?........i have no hesitation on giving this hotel top marks for everything, food, staff, rooms ambience everything one could ask for.....10/10.

The hotel's classic French architecture and spacious lobby were inviting, with easy accessibility for seniors. The fine views of the Mekong River from the terrace made it a perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery.
WiFi connection could be improved for better access.

The position was fantastic. It really did give one the sense of colonialism in the Mekong Delta. The staff were really good, and something which is too rare, very well tuned in to the fact that the vast majority of visitors to their hotel in transit between Vietnam and Cambodia, without letting the service levels or feeling of personal attention slip.

The location was perfect as we were headed to Cambodia the next morning, and the dock was conveniently close to the hotel. The view from our room was stunning, right up the river, and the outdoor area by the water was beautiful. The breakfast offered many choices in a buffet style. The staff was remarkably helpful, especially when we needed assistance with some travel arrangements.
